It was a fun wedding party because they wanted their makeup heavier. I’ve noticed that more and more bridal parties are foregoing the “au naturel” look and going for some more oomph.

My Favorite False Eyelashes

Filed under: Product Review,Websites and Links — Administrator @ 9:26 am

I just wanted share some of my favorite false eyelashes with you all.

One of my favorite brands is called “Darkness”, this is a Korean brand and you can find it at most Korean market cosmetic counters, Korean cosmetic stores, online. My favorite styles are the K.ma series #7, #8 and #9. These styles come with 2 pairs and are usually in the price range of $2.50 to $3.50 per 2 pair.

Here is a website I found that sells them online: http://www.eyelash5.com/false-eyelash/false-eyelashes-kma-series.html

I like them because they give a real cute-sy look, its very ul-zzang (얼짱) style lashes. For those of you who don’t know what that means, ul-zzang is a coined phrase in Korean that means “best face” aka “good looking”. Many ul-zzangs are known to have a very specific makeup style, many of which utilize circle contact lens and false eyelashes.
Anyway, I guess I can also describe these lashes as some what anime-ish. I really like the criss cross pattern of the lashes and the serrated length of short/long.
This brand comes with 2 types of glue in the packaging, the white capped glue is similar to the American style eyelash glue such as Duo. The yellow capped glue is similar to the Asian style glue used to create double eyelids (쌍거풀). I recommend using the yellow capped glue as it is much stronger. The texture is much thinner (almost runny) than the white capped glue, it is an opalescent color that dries clear.
One thing to note about this brand is that the band is a little thicker and stiffer, so if you’re a first time false lash wearer, it may take a bit longer to get used to. Although, the thickness is some what of a draw back, I do like the added definition it creates.

One of my other favorite brands is called “Model 21″, this is a Vietnamese brand and you can find it at Vietnamese nail supply stores or online. My favorite styles are #4, #7, #9. These styles come in boxes of 10 pairs and are usually in the price range of $6.00 to $8.00 a box.

I like these lashes because they are made from human hair and are very natural looking, not to mention super cheap. These are my primary lashes that I use for weddings. They’re even great for everyday use. The band is thin, flexible and very comfortable, so its perfect if you’re learning how to wear false lashes.

Hope this helped =)
Now you guys don’t have to spend crazy money on false lashes.

I promise to update this post with pictures of what it looks like on.
